Sarah (Sally) was born on November 15th, 1848 in Kitley, Ontario, Canada.1 Sarah (Sally)'s father was Thomas BALFE and her mother was Sarah (Sarah) KENNY. Her paternal grandparents are Edward BALFE and Female KENNY; her maternal grandparents were Bartholomew KENNY and Anne BREEN. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Michael, Patrick, Thomas, Michael, Thomas, Ann, Micheal, Margaret, Margo and Mary. She died at the age of 100 on November 15th, 1948.2 General Notes

1851 census lists her as Sally, born in Canada West, age 3 and living with her
parents.
1901 census (T-6478, Emsley South, Leeds, S-District A1, page 4) lists Sarah
O'Mara, wife (of Edward O'Mara), born 15 November 1847 in rural Ontario, 51,
R.Catholic, living with her husband and family. There is a Catherine Balfe age
78 living with them as a Servant. She could be a relative (aunt?) of Sarah Balfe .
