Elizabeth was born on October 25th, 1849.  Elizabeth's father was James Phillip Caust or Cause and her mother was Ann Clogg.  Her paternal grandparents are <Unknown> and Jane Cause; her maternal grandfather was Richard Clogg and her maternal grandmother is Mary. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John, William, James, James, Mary Ann, Sara, Charlotte and Amelia.  She was the third youngest of the nine children.  She died of an unknown cause.
