Richard was born on January 8th, 1883 in Illinois. Richard's father was John Mayfield Webb and his mother was Vestie Elizabeth Ramsey (Webb). His paternal grandparents were Uriah Churchill Webb and Mary Frances Fairleigh (Webb). He had four brothers and six sisters, named Uriah, Nathan, Hiram, Johney, May, Charlotte, Mabel, Gay, Jessie and Ethel. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 51 on September 6th, 1934. He was buried at the Eastwood IOOF Cemetery.
