Pleuntje was born in 1687 in Sprang-Capelle and her baptism took place on October 19th, 1687 in Capelle (Noord Brabant).1  Pleuntje's father was Antoni Janszn Vermeer and her mother is Maria Symonsdr van den Hout.  Her paternal grandparents were Jan Fransen Vermeer and Pleuntjen Teunisdr Melen; her maternal grandfather is Symon Aertszn van den Hout and her maternal grandmother was Geertruy Fransdr Stam. She had a brother and three sisters, named Symon, Pleuntje, Geertrui Antonisdr and Johanna.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died before 1690.1
