Thonisken was born in 1649 in Sprang-Capelle and her baptism took place on December 5th, 1649 in Capelle (Noord Brabant).1   Her godmothers were/are Aentgen Gerritsdr van der Hoeven, Ariaentien Cornelisdr. Thonisken's father was Peter Teuniszn Timmers and her mother was Maycken Geerits Petersdr van der Hoeven.  Her maternal grandparents were Gerrit Peterszn van der Hoeven and Thuentien Gerrits Antonisdr Smit. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Gerrit Peterszn, Arien, Peter, Jan Peterszn, Thonisken, Neeltgen, Ariaentien and Neeltjen.
