Jannetje was born in 1806.1  Jannetje's father was Sijpke Pieterszn Soveelen and her mother was Gerritje Buurman.  Her paternal grandparents were Pieter Pieterszn Soveelen and Ettjen Harkers; her maternal grandparents were Hendrik Jacobszn Buurman and Jannetje Meesen. She had a brother and two sisters, named Hendrik, Etje and Antje.  She was the third oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 43 on July 28th, 1849 in Putten.
