Cornelis Gerardus was born in 1776 in Zaltbommel.1   Cornelis Gerardus' father is Marcus Jacobus Schot and his mother was Jenneke van Oosterhout.  His maternal grandparents were Cornelius van Oosterhout and Beertijen van Avesaat. He had a sister named Geertruij Dina.  He was the older of the two children. He had six half-brothers and a half-sister, named Gerhardus Johannes, Jan, Cornelis, Adrianus, Gijsbertus, Leendert and Helena.  He died at the age of 38 on January 24th, 1814 in Zaltbommel.1
