Caatje was born in 1762 in Fijnaart en Heijningen and her baptism took place there on January 17th, 1762.1  Caatje's father is Arij Gijsbertszn Schilperoort and her mother is Adriana Versluijs.  Her paternal grandfather was Gijsbert Gerritszn Schilperoort and her paternal grandmother is Cornelia Jansdr Rollaf; her maternal grandparents are Cornelis Versluijs and Catharina Coomans. She had a brother and five sisters, named Gijsbert Arijszn, Cornelia, Cornelia Arijsdr, Pieternella, Neeltje Arijsdr and Janna.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 88 on July 10th, 1850 in Klundert.1
