Geertruy was born in November 1652 in Zundert and her baptism took place there on November 3rd, 1652.1   Her godfather was Adriaen Aertszn Suermondt and her godmothers were Arnolda Suermond, Wilhelma van der Hagen. Geertruy's father was Samuel Pistorius and her mother was Aelke Ariensdr Suijrmont.  Her paternal grandparents were Joannes Baptista Pistorius and Wilhelma van der Haghen; her maternal grandparents were Adriaen Aertszn Suijrmont and Geriken Lucas Uijtenbroeck. She had five brothers and a sister, named Johannes, Adriaen, Samuel, Arnoldus, Willem and Apollonia.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 26 on January 23rd, 1679 in Dussen.1
