Arnoldus was born in December 1666 in Made en Drimmelen and his baptism took place there on December 12th, 1666.1  Arnoldus' father was Samuel Pistorius and his mother was Aelke Ariensdr Suijrmont.  His paternal grandparents were Joannes Baptista Pistorius and Wilhelma van der Haghen; his maternal grandparents were Adriaen Aertszn Suijrmont and Geriken Lucas Uijtenbroeck. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Johannes, Adriaen, Samuel, Willem, Geertruy and Apollonia.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 38 on October 28th, 1705 in Dussen.1
