Adriaen was born on March 19th, 1661 in Made en Drimmelen.1  Adriaen's father was Samuel Pistorius and his mother was Aelke Ariensdr Suijrmont.  His paternal grandparents were Joannes Baptista Pistorius and Wilhelma van der Haghen; his maternal grandparents were Adriaen Aertszn Suijrmont and Geriken Lucas Uijtenbroeck. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Johannes, Samuel, Arnoldus, Willem, Geertruy and Apollonia.  He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 81 on March 1st, 1743 in Oosterhout.2
