Ariaenken was born in 1614 in Sprang-Capelle and her baptism took place on April 20th, 1614 in Capelle (Noord Brabant).1   Her godfather was Peter Gerardszn van der Hoeven and her godmother was Leyn Gerartdr. Ariaenken's father was Gerrit Peterszn van der Hoeven and her mother was Thuentien Gerrits Antonisdr Smit.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Gerit Andrieszn van der Hoeven and Anneke Adriaensdr de Jonge. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Peter, Chiel, Anneken and Maycken Geerits Petersdr.  She was the oldest of the five children.
