Anneken was born in 1616 in Sprang-Capelle and her baptism took place on February 14th, 1616 in Capelle (Noord Brabant).1   Her godfathers were Emmeken Samuels, Lysbeth Ary. Anneken's father was Gerrit Peterszn van der Hoeven and her mother was Thuentien Gerrits Antonisdr Smit.  Her paternal grandparents were Peter Gerit Andrieszn van der Hoeven and Anneke Adriaensdr de Jonge. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Peter, Chiel, Ariaenken and Maycken Geerits Petersdr.  She was the second oldest of the five children.
