Antonij was born in July 1739 in Dussen and his baptism took place there on July 5th, 1739.1   His godmother was zuster van de moeder. Antonij's father was Peeter van Giessen and his mother was Wouterken Maijke de Bock.  His paternal grandparents were David Jacobszn van Giessen and Cornelia Petersdr van Gelder. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Davidt, Antonij, Jan, Maijken and Lijsbeth.  He was the fifth oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 79 on January 3rd, 1819 in Dussen.2
