Antonij was born in February 1736 in Dussen and his baptism took place there on February 19th, 1736.1  Antonij's father was Peeter van Giessen and his mother was Wouterken Maijke de Bock.  His paternal grandparents were David Jacobszn van Giessen and Cornelia Petersdr van Gelder. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Davidt, Jan, Antonij, Maijken and Lijsbeth.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died before July 5th, 1739 in Dussen.1
