Willem was born in 1779 in Oudheusden and his baptism took place there on September 15th, 1779.1  Willem's father was Arie Baaijens and his mother was Anneke van den Heuvel.  His paternal grandparents were Andries Baaijens and Lijntje de Man; his maternal grandparents were Willem Janszn van den Heuvel and Willemijne Matthijsdr van Gammeren. He had a brother and three sisters, named Andries, Willemijna, Jenneke and Leijntje.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 76 on October 14th, 1855 in Oudheusden.1
