Judah Mendes

Judah was born in 1835 in Middlesex. Judah's father was Jacob (John) Mendes and his mother was Charlotte Habilho. His paternal grandparents were David Mendes and Rebecca; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Habilho and Rebecca. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, David, Jacob, Alexander, Gershon, Abraham, Sarah, Rachel and Miriam. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died about 1910.

General Notes
- Judah was Chris's great great great grandfather. In 1851 he has moved to Shepherd's Place and has become a Cap Peak Maker but by the Autumn of that same year aged 17y ie 1st September 1851 he was recorded as travelling to New York, USA on the "Julia Howard" along with Jacob Ottolangui aged 18y and Jacob Bensabat aged 17y ( In Laws - related to brother George).They claim to be Cabinet Makers and carry between them 2 boxes and a bundle.
