Jacob Mendes

Jacob was born in 1821 in Whitechapel. Jacob's father was Jacob (John) Mendes and his mother was Charlotte Habilho. His paternal grandparents were David Mendes and Rebecca; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Habilho and Rebecca. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, David, Alexander, Gershon, Abraham, Judah, Sarah, Rachel and Miriam. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died about 1890.
