Albert was born on June 5th, 1869 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England.  Albert's father was James Henry Knowles and his mother was Amelia Mould Morrell.  His paternal grandparents were Samuel Knowles and Ann (Annie); his maternal grandparents are Stephen Morrell and <Unknown>. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Edward, Frank, Amelia and Florence.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 69 on February 7th, 1939 in Providence, Providence, RI.  He was buried in Highland Memorial Park, Centerdale, RI.
