Gilbert Murrell

Gilbert was born on February 10th, 1873. Gilbert's father was John Murrell and his mother was Harriet Wharin. His paternal grandparents were John Murrell and Mary Collings; his maternal grandparents were John Wharin and Catherine (Kitty) Egan. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Charles, Lawrence, Harry, William, Alice , Mary and Kate. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died due to Boer War at the age of 27 on June 5th, 1900 in Bloemfontein.
