Elizabeth was born in 1730 in Hawkhurst, England and her baptism took place there on June 28th, 1730.  Elizabeth's father was John Austen and her mother was Ann Pearce.  Her paternal grandparents were David Austen and Ann Unknown. She had a brother and a sister, named Samuel and Sarah.  She was the youngest of the three children.
