Ann was born in 1703 in Newton Toney, Wiltshire and her christening took place there on December 13th, 1703.1 2   Ann's father was William Sellwood and her mother was Anne Girle.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Sellwood and Mary Osgood. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, William, Richard, Joseph, Mary, Hannah and Sarah.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 32 in 1735.
