Isaac Nutburn

Isaac was born in 1832 in Eling, Hampshire.¹ Isaac's mother was Ann Eliza Bromfield. His maternal grandparents were Robert Bromfield and Ann Plomley. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James, Mark, Aaron, Mary, Ruth, Ann, Alice and Rose. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 76 in December 1908 in New Forest, Hampshire.²

General Notes
- Robin Whitmore GR thinks Isaac was the illegimate son of Ann Bromfield and George Broomfield but I am not convinced. Although Isaac appears as Broomfield in the 1841, 51 and 61 censuses while he is at home living with George Broomfield and in 1871 when he has left and married he reverts to Nutburn in 1881, 91 and 1901 which if George Broomfield was his natural father who had recognised him as his son seems very strange. I think he was the illegimate son of Ann and an unknown father in the gap between James Nutburn's death and Ann's marriage to George.
