Leonora was born in 1787 in Salisbury, Wiltshire and her christening took place on December 29th, 1787 in Saint Thomas, Salisbury, Wiltshire.1 2   Leonora's father was John Naish and her mother was Sarah Banger.  Her maternal grandparents were William Banger and Sarah. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Charles, John, William, Reuben, Sarah, Henrietta, Phoebe and Elizabeth.  She was the youngest of the nine children.
