Hannah was born on February 26th, 1823 in Felstead, Essex.1   Hannah's father was John Kemp and her mother was Elizabeth Bentall. She had six brothers and a sister, named John, William, George, Joseph, Thomas, Edward and Sarah.  She was the third youngest of the eight children.
