James Hockley

James was born in 1780 in Thaxted, Essex and his christening took place on June 4th, 1780 in Thaxted Parish Church, Essex.¹² James' father was James Hockley and his mother was Mary Turpin. His paternal grandparents were James Hockley and Elizabeth Butcher. He had two sisters named Mary and Hannah. He was the oldest of the three children.
