John was born in 1719 in Bower Chalk, Wiltshire and his christening took place there on December 20th, 1719.1 2   John's father was Allen Frampton and his mother was Jane. He had four brothers and a sister, named Allen, Henry, Richard, Matthew and Jane.  He was the youngest of the six children.
