Edith Croombes

Edith was born in 1815 in Steeple, Dorset and her christening took place there on October 29th, 1815.¹² Edith's father was James Croombes and her mother was Jane (Jenny) Hatchard. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Croombes and Elizabeth Mathews; her maternal grandparents were George Seymour Hatchard and Jenny Stickland. She had a brother and three sisters, named Asher, Harriett, Elizabeth and Hannah. She was the youngest of the five children.
