Elizabeth was born on October 13th, 1814 in Marylebone, Middlesex and her christening took place on March 7th, 1815 in Saint Mary-St Marylebone Road, Saint Marylebone, Middlesex.1 2   Elizabeth's father was William Banger and her mother was Ann Goff.  Her paternal grandparents were Moses Banger and Ann Witt. She had three brothers and a sister, named Henry, James, Charles and Mary.  She was the third oldest of the five children.
