רבקה מייטא was born on September 3rd, 1900 in ירושלים.  רבקה מייטא's father was אברהם ישראל מרדכי גליס and her mother was ברכה באשע אסתר סופר.  Her paternal grandparents were יעקב המנקר גליס and אסתר מינדל פרס; her maternal grandparents were שמעון אליהו צבי סופר and חיה נחמה בת אברהם.  She had two brothers and three sisters, named ניסן צבי הירש, יעקב, פייגע ליבא, ציפורה and שרה רחל - שרהל'ה.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 53 on May 5th, 1954 in ירושלים.
