Whitfield Thornton

Whitfield was born in 1890 in Farsley Yorkshire.¹ Whitfield's father is Albert Thornton and his mother is Hetty Bateman. His paternal grandfather was Joseph Whitfield Thornton and his paternal grandmother is Hannah Isles; his maternal grandfather is John Bateman. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Harry, Randolph, Frank, Louis and Agnes.
