Mary was born about July 1842 in Chatham Kent.1   Mary's father was Charles Piper (Blacksmith b Maidstone Kent) and her mother was Mary Ann Savin (b Ramsgate Kent).  Her paternal grandparents were Charles Piper (Blacksmith b Maidstone Kent) and Hannah Colvin; her maternal grandparents are Thomas Savin and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Charles, William, James, Sarah and Hannah.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died on August 8th, 1921 in Barking Essex.  The funeral took place on August 12th, 1921 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.  She was buried on August 12th, 1921 at the Rippleside Cemetery Barking.2 3 4

Mary and Henry were married in a religious ceremony about March 1871.5   They had two sons and three daughters, named William, Henry, Elizabeth, Hannah and Mary.
