Jane  was born on February 1st, 1802 in Barking Essex.  Jane 's father was Nicholas Moungall and her mother was Anne Chipperdale (widow).  Her paternal grandparents were John {Shopkeeper} Moungall and Elizabeth {2nd wife} Brown. She had two brothers and a sister, named William, John and Ann.  She was the oldest of the four children.




Jane 's family

Jane  and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on May 6th, 1828 at St Margaret's  Church Barking.  They had a son and four daughters, named James, Mary, Ann, Emma and Jane.
