1901 census = 1841 birth, 1911 census = 1839 birth!!!

AL: I do not recall ever finding the grave of Thomas Bellingham (1917). I do know that his father, Thomas (c. 1794 – 1877) was buried in the churchyard at St Patrick’s, Kilrea but that there is no memorial stone and no records where in the yard he was interred (discussion with rector Oct 2001). I checked all the stones at the Rasharkin C of I and found no Bellingham’s and only Francis’ stone at the Finvoy C of I.

I could find no death record at any of RootsIreland, IrishGenealogy or GRONI.  Nor could I find a death notice at BNA, nor any will at PRONI.

Died between 1901 census and 1911 census. Age given as 48 in 1901 census which would make her Date of Birth as c1853.  But death certificate in General Registry Office gives her as 55 in 1907 = 1852.  If I have the right marriage, her parents were married in May 1853, so she cannot be born in 1852.

I note she was two months premature.

Kirkinriola seems to be the parish that includes Ballymena, not a place within Ballymena.

There is no trace of William McKay in Kirkinriola in the GV.

Given as 18 in 1901 census = birthdate in 1883. Ellis Island records are unclear - entry to usa in 1908 aged either 21 or 24.  Ellisislandrecords showed she reentered America on 22nd June 1913, aged 30 with her daughters Adeline, aged 3,  and "Jane" (Jean?), aged 1, on board the Cameronia, having left Londonderry on 14th June, on her way to 305, East 91st Street, New York. Kilrea National school gives her as 15 in 1898. Al took the full date from the Civil Records at the General Registry Office, Belfast.  I now have her birth record from Letterkenny LRO whic confirms Al's data.

Al Luce - in email to me on 091002 says that this William Bellingham is recorded in the "Irish birth registrations" as the above date.  He is given as 14 in 1901 census = 1887.  And given as 23 in 1910 US census = 1887.

I have his US Draft Registration Card where his birth is given as 26 Dec 1886 not 1885

Just ordered the death cetificate. Chronic Nephritis, Hypertension (malignant) and myocarditis, thats what's on the death certificate
