Margaret Jane was born in 1855.  Margaret Jane's father was George [1898-Victoria,Aus] Gordon and her mother was Mariah Kidd.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas [1858-TheMeen,Plots 25&26] Gordon and Catherine Carmichael. She had a brother named Thomas George.  She was the older of the two children.

  You have made my day! So pleased to find Gordon relatives.
  My great grandmother was born Margaret Jane Gordon in Adelaide South Australia in 1855. Her parents were George Gordon (Labourer) and Maria Kidd.

  Ruth Elizabeth 1871 in Boll Victoria.
  They were living at Riddells Creek in Victoria when I assume my Great Grandparents met and then married at Sandhurst(Bendigo) in 1874.
  Margaret Jane married John Johnston and farmed at Bonn near Rochester Victoria until retirement when they moved into Rochester. My family continued to farm around the Rochester/Lockington areas the original farm was sold and the house shifted then burnt down about 10 years ago.
  Robert James moved to Deniliquin NSW.
  I have the wills of George Gordon and Maria(Kidd) Gordon.
  I had my father’s DNA tested before he passed away in 2015 so it is his information on Ancestry. Any way l can help please ask and I would love to hear back from you. Always great to be able to fill in the gaps by sharing information.
