James' father was John Wilson and his mother was Jessie Mcwilliam.  His paternal grandparents were John Wilson and Margaret Rennie. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Alexander, William, George, Ann, Maggie and Jessie.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 82 on May 22nd, 1957 in Banff.
