Wason's father was Robert Wason and her mother was Mary Helen Tunnycliffe Higgins. Her paternal grandparents were William Wason and Susan Flinn. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Hugh, Andrew, Robert, Susan and Selina. She was the youngest of the six children. She died by stillbirth or at birth on March 9th, 1914 in Philadelphia.
