Marion's father was Archibald Thomson and her mother was Katrine Eaglesome.  Her maternal grandparents were Archibald Eaglesome and Marion Fulton. She had three brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Andrew, Margaret, Agnes and Mary.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 72 on January 13th, 1889 in Paisley.  She was buried in Paisley.
