James Thomson

James was born on April 7th, 1769 in Dunfermline and his baptism took place there on April 23rd, 1769.¹

Birth Notes

James' father was Robert Thomson and his mother was Janet Shipherd. His paternal grandparents were James Thomson and Margaret Mudie; his maternal grandparents were William Shepherd and Margaret Tulloch. He had three sisters named Betty, Margaret and Elspeth. He was the second oldest of the four children.
