Elizabeth (Betty) Thomson

Elizabeth, known as Betty, was born on October 10th, 1765 in Dunfermline and her baptism took place there on October 24th, 1765.¹²

- Seems to have been baptised at two churches on same day.

Betty's father was Robert Thomson and her mother was Janet Shipherd. Her paternal grandparents were James Thomson and Margaret Mudie; her maternal grandparents were William Shepherd and Margaret Tulloch. She had a brother and two sisters, named James, Margaret and Elspeth. She was the oldest of the four children.
