William Taylor

William was born on December 23rd, 1837 in Ayr and his baptism took place on January 21st, 1838 in St. Quivox.^1 2

William's father was James Taylor and his mother was Janet Ewing.  His paternal grandparents were Andrew Taylor and Ann Scoffield. He had three brothers and a sister, named Andrew, James, David and Janet.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 45 in 1882 in Kilmarnock.
