Margaret Steen (Maggie)

Margaret was born on January 16th, 1878 in Taughboyne.¹

Margaret's father was Matthew Steen and her mother was Margaret Devenny.  Her paternal grandparents were Matthew Josiah Steen and Marjory Devinney; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Devenny and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Matthew, Samuel, Rebecca, Jane and Mary.  She was the second youngest of the seven children.  She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, congestion of lungs, 8 days, at the age of 18 on January 3rd, 1897 in Dromore townland.  She was buried in Raphoe.^2 3 4
