James Shaw

James was born on October 5th, 1858 in New Prestwick.¹

James' father was James Higgins and his mother was Janet Shaw.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Shaw and Jean Scoffield. He had two brothers and two sisters, named James, Thomas, Janet and Margaret.  He was the third oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and two half-sisters, and also three half-siblings of unknown gender, named William, Mary, Jean, <Unknown>, <Unknown> and Shaw.  He died at the age of 15 in 1873 in Monkton.
