George Paton 
George was born in 1830 in Midlothian.1 George's father was James Paton and his mother was Henrietta Baxter. His maternal grandparents were Ronald Baxter and Isabella Erskine. He had a brother and three sisters, named James, Henriette, Susan and Margaret. He was the second oldest of the five children.-
