Ebenezer's father was Ebenezer Milner MD and his mother was Robina Culbertson Brash. His maternal grandparents were David Brash and Agnes Henderson. He had three sisters named Janet, Agnes and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 62 in February 1916 in London.
