Elizabeth was born in 1850 in Paisley. Elizabeth's father was Andrew Hall McCready and her mother was Janet McLatchie.  Her maternal grandparents were Hall McLatchie and Grace Mccallum. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Andrew, James, Grace, Margaret and Mary.  She was the third oldest of the six children.  She died at the age of 81 on December 6th, 1931 in New South Wales.
