Mary Martin

Mary was born in 1824 in Ayrshire.¹ Mary's father was John Martin and her mother was Margaret Shaw. Her maternal grandparents were Robert Shaw and Mary Eaglesham-Smith. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Robert, William, Isabella, Helen, Susanna, Susanna and Jane. She was the second oldest of the eight children.
