Joseph was born on July 6th, 1910 in Ansonia.¹ Joseph's father was Malcolm Thomson Lafferty and his mother was Helen Hamilton Towers. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Lafferty and Margaret French; his maternal grandparents were William Towers and Jane Fraser. He had a brother and three sisters, named William, Jane, Margaret and Helen. Jane and Joseph were twins. He died at the age of 90 on January 26th, 2001 in Connecticut. He was buried in Ansonia.²¹
