William Hay

William was born in 1883 in Ayr. William's father was Thomas Hay and his mother was Mary Robertson. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Robertson and Elizabeth Armour. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Hugh, Thomas, Hugh, Agnes and Elizabeth. He was the third youngest of the six children.
