Cecillia's father was William Galt and her mother was Margaret Towers. Her maternal grandparents were William Tours and Margaret Colquhoun. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, William, John, James, James, Margaret, Kate and Tina. She was the third youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 82 on April 12th, 1951 in Paisley. She was buried in Paisley.³³
